illywhacker presents 'False Promises' Ep.010

This month's episode is an emotionally fuelled affair. Good for the soul. Feelings and emotions to expect during the hour-long mix: joy, euphoria, serenity, maybe even feelings of wistfulness and yearning. If there’s not a record in this mix that doesn’t evoke some sort of emotional response from you, then you’re surely not human.

This episode is a perfect example of the ‘sound’ of dance music that connects with me more than any other on an emotional, goosebumps kind of level. Beautiful melodies and vocals that transport the mind away to another place combined with atmospherics and euphoric punch that throw you into a state of awe at the drop. I’ve relied heavily on one of my favourite labels, Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep, and also the Enhanced Music sub-label Colorize. Eight of the 12 tracks featured in this mix come from their labels, so if you’re a fan of these labels, then this mix should appeal to you! Even more so if you love a good sing-along, nearly every record is a vocal one in this month’s mix.

As per usual, the energy continuously builds throughout the hour, the emotional vibes ebb and flow into various states every 10-15 minutes.
