We're almost there, the end of the year is near. After weathering the storm that has been 2020, many, but sadly not all of us approach 2021 with hope for better and brighter days ahead.
Initially, I was planning to create my second Trance classics mix for episode 12, but I decided to shelve that for another episode! With the nights getting darker still, and lockdown 2.0 coming into force here in the UK this month, I opted for a more chilled approach. I decided to pick out and share with you some of the recent records that I have found. Some of these tracks are relaxing, others simply put me into a good mood. Hopefully, these tracks have a similar effect on you. I’ve relied heavily on one of my favourite labels, Anjunadeep/Anjunabeats for this episode. Normally I try not to use too many records from the same label in each mix, but, fuck it.
The mix starts off on more of a deep and serene emotional vibe, however, after track three, the energy starts to build a little more. At the halfway point of the mix, we start to move towards a more energetic Progressive House/Trance sound; for the most part, the second half of the show is a little more euphoric and uplifting. The mix ends with a punchy vocal record that will transport some of you back to the glory days of Trance music, a nod to the past of sorts.
