Here we are again, better late than never! Episode 015 was meant to be uploaded as last month’s show, but I came down with a cold which massively impacted my hearing. I almost gave up on getting last month’s Mini-Mix up, too. However, Episode 015 is here now, fear not!
This episode actually ended up sounding more melancholic and darker than I had initially planned it to. My search for new records for this mix just took me down a different kind of rabbit hole I guess! Regardless, there are some cracking records in this mix. I’m especially fond of track 3, ‘Fat Cosmoe - Goner feat. Mae’, a super nice vibe and beautiful vocal. Probably my favourite record in the mix.
However, Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s EP ‘Ribbon Reef’ set the initial tone for this mix and helped me pick out the artwork when listening to the EP. The first two tracks in the episode are both taken from the Ribbon Reef EP. As per usual, the energy intensifies as the episode progresses!
